Flint Club’s General Motors Birthday party at River Bank Park
Flint Institute of Arts, July 12 from July 20 (Gallery Cruise) Participants may submit up to 3 photographs of favorite cars and trucks. Photos must be unframed. Submit an original photograph or a digitally reproduced image on photo quality paper no larger than 8” x 10”, if the photograph needs to be returned to the owner at the end of the exhibition, the lender must label the reverse of the photograph and include a self addressed stamped envelope for the photo to be returned in. The photographs will be installed using binder clips and hung on the wall. The Flint Institute of Arts is not responsible for lost or damaged photographs. The FIA recommends sending copies of original photographs. Please do not submit commercially reproduced images such as advertisements. Photos must be submitted to the Flint Institute of Arts no later than July 6, 2008; Flint Institute of Arts 1120 E. Kearsley Street Flint, MI 48503. The Art Sales and Rental Gallery at the FIA is featuring original artwork of GM Automobiles from all eras done by local artists. We have artwork done by Robert Salo, a commercial artist who worked in Detroit for General Motors and Ford Motor Company. We are also featuring GM Automobiles done by John McCormick, Thomas Thiery and Ken Taylor, and Flint and Genesee County area landmarks done by WIlliam Stolpin, Carole Brender and Jim Anthony, all prominent local artists.
